A Plain Cushion

  • Step 4: Attach the Fabric Panels on the Zip Line


    • Align the 2 fabric panels face sides together and pin.
    • On one side, draw a line across the fabric 2cm up from the bottom edge and parallel to it.
    • Make a mark on the line 5cm in from each side.
    • With a single knotted thread, sew a line of tacking stitches all the way along the "2cm line".
    • Machine along the 2cm tack line in from each side of the fabric panel to the 5cm mark.
    • Reinforce the stitch at the 5cm marks.
    • Note the tacking stitch between the 5cm marks is where the zip will be (the zip opening).
    • Remove pins.
    • Open out and lay the joined panels right side down.
    • Press open the seam.
